About Us

So how about an award-winning wedding venue that doesn’t just say they are different but actually is a completely unique experience…you could say a breath of fresh air!

Your special day will ensure you fall in love with the great outdoors. Our team LOVE it and we’re sure you will too! Your licensed wedding ceremony will take place nestled in our 15 acre woodland within an enchanting thatched shelter with your nearest and dearest taking in the view. Should it take your fancy we can even have your wedding rings flown in by owl! Enjoy a glass of fizz in the woodland or at our waterside gazebo, the perfect photo spot!

If you would like your guests to truly take in the great outdoors (and give them a day to talk about!) take advantage of the exclusive hire of the venue. We can create you a package full of fun activities from archery, falconry, segway, crazy golf and much more!

Party the night away in our barn, which has a capacity of up to 200 guests, where you’ll find our fully licensed bar, space to eat, drink and celebrate! We pride ourselves on creating a relaxed day and night and one that you and your guests will never forget as you sit back in our lounge area and soak up the evening.

If your guests need to rest their heads there are camping and caravan facilities on-site, including new Glamping Cabins and plenty of hotel accommodation within 1 mile.

Maybe you’re looking for something extra special for a bridal suite? Luxury lodges and log cabins are just a few minutes drive away.

There is so much to consider when planning your wedding. To help get you started, here are some frequently asked questions about Cheshire Woodland Weddings. If you have any further queries, please get in touch.

We can accommodate 150 guests during the day and an extra 50 in the evening.

Yes, you can. We are licensed for a civil service or a hand tie service.

Yes, you can hire the whole site just for you and your guests with or without all the activities we have to offer depending on the package you choose.

We have a full range of activities depending on which package you choose. This will be discussed with your Wedding Co-ordinator but to list a few we have Falconry, Segway, Archery, Crazy Golf and much more

Cheshire Woodland Weddings does not hold a catering license, therefore all catering must be carried out by a third party supplier – this can range from event caterers, pizza vans, hog roast etc. We have a recommended list of caterers who we have worked with previously and have great relationships with.

All caterers must visit the venue and be signed off by the wedding coordinator. Your caterers will need to provide serving staff and deal with all waste management.

Please note: your caterers must be on site in plenty of time before your service and any caterers who typically work from a gazebo have to use our catering shelter instead.

We have our own bar and friendly team. We offer a variety of drinks packages to suit everybody's needs. Partial and Full Corkage is available upon request for an additional fee and must be discussed with your wedding coordinator. Any unarranged drinks brought onto site by yourselves or guests will be confiscated.

Last orders is at 11:15pm with the bar closing shortly after this.

Blakemere has several onsite accommodation options, including 12 luxury glamping lodges called Blakemere Hideaways. Sleeping 2 – 5 people, these lodges feature ensuite bedrooms, comfy king-sized beds, and private hot tubs. There are dog-friendly lodges also available with easy access to a secure exercise paddock. 

Nestled in a clearing on the multi-award-winning Blakemere Holiday Park, Blakemere Hideaways are just a 5-minute walk from Cheshire Woodland Weddings. With touring and camping pitches also available, we recommend booking your onsite accommodation as early as possible to avoid disappointment.  Head over to to book.

Yes, you can have live music, including bands, but they must arrange arrival times with the co-ordinator and finish for 10.30pm. Please note, the DJ can still play music after 10.30pm until 11.30pm.

Unfortunately not, however, we can provide an amazing laser light show on request. Please contact us for more information.

Yes, this can be arranged. But this must be within our guidelines and agreed with our co-ordinator.

Yes, you can but this must be agreed and co-ordinated by our wedding co-ordinator.

We have 6-foot wooden trestle tables with benches which are normally in rows joined together and can sit 8 people per table.

We recommend that all taxis and carriages must be arranged for collection by 11:45 as the barn needs to be vacated by midnight. Pre-booking of taxis is essential. (Please note: Uber does not operate in our area)

Yes, this can be arranged with the wedding co-ordinator but must be agreed first.

Yes, we love a photo booth but must be arranged via our co-ordinator stating size of booth, delivery time and set up time.

Our team cannot book transport on behalf of yourselves or your wedding guests. We recommend local company, BusyBus for private hire of minibuses to get you to and from our venue from your chosen accommodation. For more information, view BusyBus’ website here.

Yes, all areas of our site are accessible without the need of lifts. We also have a golf buggy to help our less able guests people around the venue.

We are following the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) and all relevant authorities to make sure the actions we are taking are comprehensive and sustainable.

We have been conducting weddings and show round appointments as normal.

The only time we will postpone a wedding would be if it was required by law. Otherwise, the planning process and the wedding itself will run as normal within the guidelines. If there is a lockdown which affects your wedding date we will be happy to offer you alternative dates.

There is parking for up to 200 guests on Blakemere Village site surrounding the venue. Guests can leave their cars overnight free of charge.
